Hi all,
I'm looking for a site that sells magickal supplies, namely an athame.
There are no actual shops that I know of in Birmingham, and I don't
drive so travelling is out of the question - at least until I get my
next paycheque!!
So in the meantime, I'm looking for a good website, preferably in the
UK so I can avoid big delivery costs
Any answers appreciated.......
Fletch

Try this site..
http://www.pentagram-uk.com
You can order supplies over the net....but they also have a shop in
Wakefield (which I'm hoping to visit one day!)
It seems to be a pretty good site

Cheers Dionne,
I've actually been looking for that site - I found it + another which
were excellent, but I lost the addresses -so thanx.
I'd love to visit an actual shop - I'll have to think about it - maybe
next month....

Hello Fletch
I work in Birmingham and the only shop I've found is Zen which is in
Brindley Place across the canal from Symphony Hall. Hasn't got loads
in but they may be able to help.

This probably won't be all that helpful, but I bought my current athame
at the Pagan Federation conference in 1997. I'd previously used one
which I bought at pentagram in Wakefield, but it wasn't good quality
at all (I actually bought it from the shop rather than the web). The
one I use now was made by a cutler who specialises in ritual tools,
mine has a buffalo horn handle and is very minimalist. He also made
one for a friend which has a bog-oak handle. Unfortunately it was so
long ago that I can't remember the name of the guy... but I know new
moon have some nice-looking ones (if a bit pricey).

Hello There!
I bought my boyfriend a very ornate paper knife for Christmas. It's
very King Arthur esque. (Well, it's got a bloke in a suit of armour
on the handle!) I ritually blessed it with the intentsion of using it
as an athame. It's not exactly the traditional black handled double
edged blunt knife but then again, the athames I've seen on sale are
very fancy indeed. I should change my name to BudgetWitch I think.
Merry Part
