Does anyone know where's a good place to look for a nice athame. I have several wands (self made) ... but haven't a clue on an athame. [I currently substitute a stake, which was an impressive looking spear until it snapped ... now I look like a Buffy fan who's just taken it too far!]

the new moon website has great ones - some of the fancier ones are a tad pricy but the simple ones are lovely and not too much cash either... I've got the standard £9 one and I love it to bits!

Thanks for the information ... its a great site!

I'm torn now between getting an athame or one of those really nice looking wands ... probably have to wait to pay day anyway!

White Crow, if its a one or the other decision, may I suggest that you buy the athame and make your own wand. Easy to do, and far more meaningful and connected to you than a bought one. A walk in the woods will find you a nice one meant just for you if you prepare by asking nicley first. A little polishing/sanding or whatever will then really personalise it. For myself, I think a lot of potency is gained by preparing things ourselves as much as possibIe (this is just my own feeling of course) only wish I could make my own athame this way as well.
