Can anyone help me.

I have always seen or heard weird things ever since I can remember.

So I was lying in bed last night. I just turn out the light and got cozy when I heard a distinct voice say "Helen". I sat up very quickly, but there was nothing else to follow.

I was also totally alone in the house, and no I was not asleep.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Wasn't there a message posted recently about a scottish witch called Helen Duncan, concerning the repeal of Witchcraft laws? Or am I being thick?

I have no idea what it's about White Ivy....but the exact same thing happened to me a while ago...

I posted a message about it...I think it's still here somewhere...called "Very Strange"...I posted this when I just heard something in my sleep....but a week or so after I definitely heard my name....it sounded like a young girls voice.....that's all I heard...& I've never heard it since...
So I'd be extremely interested if you manage to find out any more about it...

Acouple of years ago, I was going out with this guy for quite a while, one morning I was in bed sleeping alone, the next minute woke with a start...I heard him shout my name...but he was at home! Later, when he came round, he started telling me how all his family were laughing at him, cause he'd had a nightmare that I'd died, woken up and screamed my name so loud that everyone in the house heard! I asked him what time this was...he said about 7am.........just around the same time I heard him call me from waaaaaaaaaaay across the city....spoooky

Also, (I can sense spirits by the way) another time, my bfriend, Gary, was staying in my house, he just popped to the loo...I heard a little girl's voice say 'Gary', as you can imagine this freaked me out, I instantly thought 'that's Cathy' - his little sister who passed away, he came back into the room and said 'Cathy's here' and got really upset....and the rests another story(as the 'Storyteller' would say).

So, if your name is Helen - might be someone you know saying your name...if not, might just be that you can sense spirits too...(if you don't know that you can already...)....don't let this freak you out by the way!!!

Unfortunately my name is not Helen.

This is not the first time it has happened to me by a long shot. But I have never heard a name with such clarity. I certainly feel that this requires a lot of research. I will look up the name Helen in the Occult literature and see what turns up.

Do you know anyone at all called Helen? It doesnt have to be someone close to you. Also what did you hear when this happened before?

I know that when I’m chatting on MSN messenger sometimes the candle wick of one of my candles will turn and point in the direction of the person I am talking to, while the other one points to me(I’m right handed so the candle on my left "receptive" always points to me and the one on my right "projective" points to the person I’m talking to). So anyone living within that direct line who is sensitive my well hear or feel things. So I think that maybe some of the things we put down to being spirits may not be, it’s just that we are in direct line of a conversation. In the past I’ve picked up words and sentences that I thought a bit strange as they had no real meaning or anything that I could link them to. As I’m going over all those past experiences again as I’m writing my background its starting to make sense that some of them where just snippets of conversations while others were most definitely spirits.

You pronounce it De-on (oh eck...looks like something out of a dictionary!)

Same as Dionne Warwick...or Celine Dion...I think that might be the best way to describe it! lol

What possessed my parents to give me a name no one can pronounce or spell is beyond me!
