Nosey Ook time.

How many of you do rituals every day? If so, are they just daily incantations, or full blown rites at your altar? Do you cast circle each time, or only for an extra special rite?

It'd be interesting to get a thread going on this- as we all know, our beliefs although linked by a common thread are very personal, so how we perform our rites and the frequency of such is going to be very personal also.

EG, I have only performed two rituals so far-although I have created an altar. (and what a piggin story that is).

I have not cast circle yet, but hope to soon...

So what do you think? You don't have to add to this thread as it is a personal thing, but thought it would be an interestink conversation....

i do rituals whenever it seems appropriate. i think if i did it out of habit or cos i thought it was a duty, it would go stale and samey.
sometimes i get up see that is is a beautiful day so decide to say good morning to the world in general; on the other hand sometimes a wake up, see the clock, panic and run round the house making squeeky noises and swearing till i pull myself together! im not good in the morning!
i usually do a ritual on the full moon, and at sabbats, but this could be a simple light a candle and meditate affair, or a full on circle, spell casting, athame brandishing, chanting thing that scares the hell out of my flatmates; or i might evwen just take a minute to remember whats going on in the world. i drew down the moon last time it was full, for a working. that was lots of fun so i think i might make a habit of that,( even if i just ground after a bit of meditation) i really felt totally in tune with the lunar energy.
i also have a habit of meditating on trains, i tend to do self healing cos i always have a headache when i come back from london, obviously this is just a sit down and close your eyes affair, i always prefer not to get thrown off the train befofre i reach my destination.

lots of love and cups of tea

Similar to Kash really. I do it when the mood takes me, when it feels right, or on certain moons if they are necessary for something i want to achieve and on religious festivals. Mine also varies from placing an inscribed candle on the window sill to chanting in a circle. But my life style doesn't really leave room for daily ceremonies anyway. I think the more you do, the more you want to, i seem to go through phases. But thats ok, there are no rules, its purely for you. I am not really a believer in the goddess etc. so i dont think there is anyone watching over me, I just use magic to bend the force of nature in my favour and for I do it with love. Blessed be, Star

I have certain meditations that I do everyday (or try to...well would like to...well the ideas there!). But generally I only do rituals when the need arises. For most of my stuff it's a quick opening prayer to the Lady and Lord, but if its something big then I cast a full circle.

Do what u feel is right!

I don't do rituals every day either...
I usually do something for the full moon & Sabbats....& then whenever I feel the need....or when I feel I want to...

Sometimes just before an exam or something similar...I'll ask for a little bit of wisdom to float my way!..

I've only ever done one spell...as Ookster already knows

It depends what I'm doing as to whether I cast a circle....if I feel the need to just stare into a candle flame...then I don't....but if it's a biggy, then I will..

I would absolutely love to see a coven in action....to see how they do things...circle casting & rituals..

I have an alter!...I love my alter!!
It's a permanent one...much to the alarm of my mother to begin with!..
I also have a real candle obsession...always have had!...if I had nothing else in my rituals...I'd have to have my candles!

Anyway...yep...I think that's about it...
Basically I do what feels right, when it feels right...& I always enjoy it

twinkly stars...

I don't tend to do a ritual everyday, or even every month. Again, like the others, I just do it when I feel the need, or when the time seems right. Sometimes I just open the circle and meditate...I think maditation is easier like this(...or maybe it's just me...lol..), other times I do a dedication, or an offering, or sometimes just flame-gaze or use my tarot cards. I haven't done too many spells....the ones I have just to get rid of negative energy...I don't feel too confident at the mo doing it...want to join a coven to learn how to do it properly first...lol.

So I buy a £9 wooden crate from Homebase to serve as an altar and for a place to put my stuff in.

What a mare...the diagram was worse than any Ikea has produced! I built it all. put the hinges on-it wouldn't shut. The picture was wrong, I forced the lid, bent the hinges...

Cut to 3 hours later..it shuts now, trust me. ;)

And I have been to ikea today where they are selling better boxes to boot....grrrrrrrrrr, for £9, paint one up and it would be lovely:)
