I have never really done anything with these as was told as a teenager
that they were very dangerous. However I have recently been talking
to an old Welsh Witch who uses them for divination very successfully.
What do you lot think, is it worth getting involved? Have any of you
had personal experiences good or bad? Light and love, Star xx

I've never used one myself...but I know a couple of people who have..
As far as I can gather...If you don't really know what you're doing,
Ouija boards can be very dangerous...& all kinds of spirits can
be attracted...these may be guides or teachers (apparently this is very
rare if you're just doing it as a "mess around" thing)...but
they're more likely to be mischeivous or "bad" spirits (spirits
tend to have the same personality when they've passedover as when they're
alive)..
If someone with a high level of spirituality & who knows what they're
doing uses one, they're more likely to find a guide or teacher.
There is much more to using a Oiuja board than this...my knowledge is
very limited on the subject...& this is just information I found
from one source...
Bright blessings...

I've never had much success when using them, but I think that was perhaps
the company I was keeping rather than the practice itself. By that,
I mean I never felt convinced we were communicating with guides or spirits
- rather, my co-experimenters were rigging the whole thing.
I'd agree with Dionne, though, that they can be dangerous if not used
properly, but only in the same way any magical practice can be dangerous
unless the proper precautions are taken. They can be an incredibly powerful
medium for divination, and if you're really interested in using them,
maybe you should speak more to your Welsh witch friend and ask the ins
and outs of their use?

It's strange that you should be speaking to a welsh witch Star, because
thats were most of my Romany family comes from, and my family that showed
me how to use the board.
I can't honestly say if they are good or bad but I know they work.
Me, my mum and my great aunt used to do them alot, and have all kinds
of responses. We once had a reply form a girl that claimed to be a Jack
the Ripper Victim and gave us all kinds of information, when we checked
at the library it was all true. I've had predictions from the board,
and I remember when I was back in secondary school the predictions were
so accurate I was banned from useing on the premises after the board
told one of my friends not to worry but that her dad had been in an
accident. It was all true.
All I can say is if you do use them be very careful who you use it with.
NEVER use a board alone, and never mock the board. My mum has had glasses
fly in the air and shatter after her friends were treating it as a joke.

OK......ouija-boards....hmm, personally, id say the type of spirit you
attract will depend on the type of people your using it with...... just
a couple of rules to remember...ALLWAYS say goodbye to any spirit you
talk to....and you should really smash the glass you use each time,
when you,ve said goodbye......
Me muvver taught me that!
See-yall later, LEE....... BB

Cant remember where i heard this description now, but imagine if you
will, a particularly foul part of the lower astral (or whatever) where
the spirits of the damned are generally not having a good time in purgatory
(which as we all know is kinda the point) but theyre not really learning
any lessons or anything (being the damned of course) then Suddenly,
a door opens and a voice says 'Is there anyone there?'. The quickest
and nastiest of the damned leaps to his feet and dives through the door.
The last thing he says to his comrades is 'I'll try and get a doggie
bag'.
Thats how Ive always percieved Ouija anyway. And i have used the damn
things before, but not for years and never to any good end. If its divination,
theres a lot more safe things to use. Contacting spirits? again, there
are a great many ways to achieve that without placing yourself in danger.
And if its talking to the dead? Personally I go to the graveyard with
some flowers. They dont say much back, but I feel happier.
Still that might just be me. :-) shollo

ok , ive used a ouija board once with my girlfriend. it was very successful
probably due to haaving two witches on it. i always though it ws trickery
but if you had seen this you would agree this was not, the glass was
whizzing around and we could hardly keep track of it.
so who arre we contacting.
ive been warned that it is fairly inhumane to drag these poor spirits
back to us and that it is better th let them rest in peace,. it is natural
that only the malicious and disturbed will contact those who are playing
at it, what respectable spirit woulkd waste time and energy scaring
bored teenagers at sleepovers.
you must also remember that they will probably take the piss anyway,
on this occasion we had a spirit spelling out all sorts of shit and
didnt realise till after that we had written the letters on the back
of a used piece of paper, it was spelling out the stuff on the other
side of the paper.
i also know people who have had lots of scary pioltergeist stuff happen
while using a board.
basically it could be useful, but remember you are inviting all sorts
of strangers into your home so do it with care. and take everything
they say with a pinch of salt, just cos they are spirits doesnt mean
they are honest

Thanks for all your advice folks. The general consensus here seems to
be: Stay away from them unless you know what you're doing. Which I don't
so I guess I will leave it. Someone suggested to me yesterday that it
may not be actual spirits which are called but instead it is a form
of channelling your own energies or that of a group and the message
comes from your own subconcious. Any thoughts? Blessed Be Star xx
