Last night, as I was going to sleep...I kept getting this really odd
feeling & I was wondering if anyone could help me work out what
it was...
As I was nodding off (I wasn't asleep)...I was getting funny fuzzy feelings...it
felt as though someone was tring to talk to me..I'm not really sure
if I could make voices out or not..but there was definitely some kind
of sound (am I goin mad?!)...but every time I got this feeling (about
4 times)..It startled me & I went back to being completely wide
awake..but then kept drifting back to this feeling.
After about the fourth time I was aware that there was something going
on & conciously tryed to get the sensation back...but I couldn't
(probably because I was trying too hard!)
I'd really like to know what was going on...or at least have an idea!...but
at the minute, I haven't got a clue..
Can anyone help me make sense of this???
Bright blessings...
Dionne

do you think someone could have bveen trying to cont\ct you psychically?
my gilfriend and i send each other dreams to communicate. and if i cant
get hold of a friend or close family i send my spirit animal to their
dreams, so if they dream of a white unicorn they know im trying tio
get hold of them.
it is possible to enter someones dreams thru spellwork, although this
is a kind of grey magic as it is manipulative. and shopuldnt be done
without consent. if you are on the verge of sleep, ie in late alpha
or theta then this could be the case.
or if you want the science stuff it could just be sleep physiology,
ie parts of you are asleep and others arnt, like when you wake in the
night paralysed, its just that your mind and part of your body is awake
but the bit that stops you acting out your dreams (sleepwalking) is
still functioning.

That was the first thing that came into my head as soon as this had
happened "someones trying to contact me"....or maybe that
was just wishful thinking...It has happened a couple of times before,
quite a long time ago (we're talking maybe years here!)
Like you said...It was in late alpha...I wasn't quite asleep
Every time it happened..I woke up with a bang!...heart beating fast
& the lot....so I don't really know what's occurring here!
Maybe it is the scientific thing...I've woken up & couldn't move
quite a few times before (like you mentioned in the scientific bit!)..but
never thought there was anything odd going on there & never thought
any more about it....this just seems different somehow..
Thanks for your reply anyway...& I'll keep you posted!!

Dionne, have you ever gone anywhere in your sleep, i.e. astral travel.
I used to do this loads as a child, not so often now. I would be right
on the verge of going to sleep and I would hear fuzzy noises, like interference,
and then I would see patterns in front of my closed eyes, kind of like
when you scrunch your eyes up tight and then I would feel my body get
heavy as my muscles relaxed and I think it's time for a full stop now.
Right, that's better! Anyway, after that I would find myself able to
"will" myself to move around. My point is what you described
sounds just like what happens to me when I leave my body, so if it's
something you haven't done before maybe that's what it was. Hope that
all made sense anyway. BB, Freya.

When I was younger (we're talkin about 4 or 5 years old) I used to be
able to move around the house...not physically move, but in my mind..
I used to regularly visit & talk to a deer that lived in the kitchen...but
the kitchen was a forest (I wonder about myself sometimes!)...from what
I can remember, I could control when I went to visit the deer &
I used to go to it about once a week...I can't remember how long this
went on for though....neither can I remember if I had any strange feelings
beforehand...It's a long time ago!!
Do you think this could be something similar to that?
I need all the help I can get on this!
Thanks for your help...it's certainly given me something to think about
blessings...

Ooops!.....Forgot to mention...
When I've had this fuzzy feeling before (like I said...it's only happened
a couple of times...& it was ages ago)....I felt like I was going
to pass out....& thats what woke me up...
I don't know if that has any bearing on my strange goings on...but I
thought it might be worth mentioning

Hiya Dionne
I think i have some idea what your talking about. like many of the others
who replied this happend most with me during childhood. I remember vivid
hallucinations of a large golden eagle underneath my desk once and also
a shoal of fish at the bottom of my bed. These could be atributed to
a temperature cos thats not uncommon with kids but then my niece and
nephew have never had anything of this sort happen to them. Have you
ever been awake and suddenly every noise even silence seems very very
big and loud and the air seems thick i think this happens to a lot of
people its hard to describe. It could have something to do with your
brain releasing energy which is what happens when your just falling
asleep and you wake up with a jolt and you imagined youve stepped of
a step that was too big or that youve tripped. Im starting to think
that this is when we tap into the sections of our mind that we dont
use or have forgotton how. Any other ideas or do you all think im nuts
hahahahhaha (laughs insanely) lol

Astral travel happens involuntarily when you sleep, thats how lots of
people wake up and have OBEs (not the new years honours, out of body
experiences) itsperfectly normal.( can you tell i did a level psychology?)
as for the forest in your kitchen dont worry i got one too, and iits
not mould!
i have a place i visit in meditation to meet my spirit animals. it has
a mountain top, to meet deities and elements, a little way down by a
waterfall i have a camfire where i sit and talk to an old native american
lady, a forest at the botton of the mountain where i meet my unicorn,
who is a kind of astral messsenger, and a cliff top below which are
crashing waves and a cave where my spirit guardian lives, shes a dragon.
if i need a new place for something else i find it in my mind. i often
go there before i sleep and in a couple of occasions ive been gradually
waking in the morning and seen myself curled up asleep on a patch of
moss near the clearing where i meet my unicorn. ahh

Hiya Glade,
I know exactly what you mean about hearing noises that sound really
loud even if there's no actual noise at all. My Nan used to say that
it's the energy of the house and the people in it, which you don't notice
during the day because of everything else that's going on. As for the
feeling like you've just tripped over, I think that's where the expression
"dropping off to sleep" comes from. I've always thought of
it as my mind slipping into a different state of consciousness and pulling
myself back which causes the sensation of falling. Just a thought.

It would be me that said this,
Just a brief warning, on a non-supernatural level. I had a similar problem
many years ago, which i ignored, (well didnt ignore, but used to do
lesser banishing ritual, seal my aura that sort of buisness), and it
became more frequent until it happened when i was wide awake (still
does) sort of jerking awake while still being awake, which was quite
embarressing.
So now i have to go to a neurologist, get cat scans and other such stuff,
because i let it lie. I mean this to everyone, YES - sometimes things
like this may be astral travel, or psychic communications, and so on,
and by no means should you go to a doctor, but if it gets to regular
occurence then maybe you should. It MAY be a medical problem.
That said, at the moment it doesnt sound like one dionne. Just dont
let it get out of hand. Sorry to be the bad tidings bloke here, but
as i said, happened to me.

I think this may have got a bit off the subject....
just to set the story straight...I'm not jerking awake...well..no more
than anyone else does when they fall off the pavement!!
& its not regular....so I'm not worried
Just thought I'd get back on track there..
Blessings...

Just thought I'd add a little to this though I'm just repeating what
others have said. This sounds like astral projection, definitely. You
have described the exact feelings I have when travelling. Especially
the waking up and not being able to move. Let it happen and see if you
can do anything with it.

Voice of cynisism speaks again haha...
Im going to end up being unpopular, but this is how i was taught, question
everything, look for non-magical explainations, that way when magic
happens, you'll know in your heart that it was magic and not something
that you wanted to be magic.
Not that Im saying its not astral - it could be, but it could be a medical
condition known as catalepsy, which as all you astral devotees must
already know, produces sensations which are easily confused with astral
projection. Most obviously, conciousness with paralysis ( its waking
up when youre body remains asleep i believe, but i may be wrong ) and
leads to vivid hallucination, which is accompanied by physical sensation.
yes i am reading this from a book....Im sad that way :-)
That said, catelpsy leaves you in good company anyway, Edgar Allen Poe
for one :-)
Anyways, as i said, always best to challenge your own perceptions. And
these were mine. I thank you. haha.

Good points well made Shollo. However, I believe that the incidence
of Astral projection / travel is far higher than the incidence of Catalepsy
in an individual. Catalepsy is a pathological condition which is usually
evident as part of a more complex syndrome, usually schizophrenia, or
epilepsy. Astral projection is an often involuntary physiological symptom
where a particular energy is partially expelled from the physical body.
(Spiritual connotations aside of course). Just because something has
a "spiritual" meaning and implication, doesn't mean it is
not a physical ocurence in it's own right. Astral projection in its
involuntary form most frequently occurs at times of extreme trauma and
stress, hence "near death experiences". These stimulae both
have physical sides to them, so astral projection or leaving the body
can be considered in a physical context.
Blessings of a clear sky
