A very common meditation excercise is to look for the God and the Goddess
and record what you see.
When I performed this excercise I was somewhat surprised by what I saw,
and would love to know what other peoples perceptions of the God and
Goddess were.

This is a description of what happened to me during by 'meeting the
God and Goddess' meditation.
I found myself standing in a field. I was a knight in full armour carrying
a sword.
A man startled me, appearing from almost nowhere. He was the God. He
looked either S American or African I was not sure. He wore an elaborate
headress of long ostrich feathers which radiated from his face like
rays of light from the sun. He wore only a loincloth and some bread/feather
anklets and bands.
He was full of energy and life, dancing impossibly and illusively, often
acrobatically flipping. I ran after him. Afraid I looked like I meant
to cause him harm, I dropped my sword, and ripped my armour off as I
chased after him. He stopped, I raised my hand in friendship, he smiled
and then started running and dancing in the sky as if it was a great
dome, and he had velcro feet. He passed overhead and beyond the horizon
and it went dark.
I then noticed the Goddess. She sat by a river in front of a tree, with
her bare feet dipped in the water. She had soft milky skin and long
blonde hair. She seemed to have flowers and beads in her hair, which
rippled gently like the ocean. As I came closer I noticed the beads
were in fact stars. She smiled and offered me a glass from a pitcher
of water.

ok sweeite, i'm feeling sorry for you after you mailed me saying no
one ever replied to your sensible messages, so here we go.
whenever i meditate on the goddess im usually drawing goddess energy.
i always see, without trying to visualise, myself from an angle just
above and behind my left shoulder as i focus on the energy a soft silver
glow emanates from and is drawn from around my body until i am surrounded
by this silver white light.when working with god energy i am caught
in a gold spotlight/ray of sunlight, which grws wider and brighter until
i am surrounded by sunbeams.
i tried to meet with them in my meditation world, where i thought that
i would see them as people in flesh (in the same way as i see my spirit
animals there. i get myself into a controlled dream state, so i am sort
of dreaming, but i still have a level of control and the ability to
decide where to go next etc. i went to the top of the mountain, cos
this seened like the place to be, and what came to me was the same as
before, i was standing on this mountain toplooking up atthe sky with
the same light thing happening as usual.
so there you go!

ps i study Equine science at the university of bristol. its a bit like
the preclincal vet course, but we just do horses in a lot more detail
than the vets, and we get to play with horses on a treadmill for the
exercise physiology and biomechanics bits!!! unfortunatly this year
i have also had to disect an entire horse top to bottom, not nice at
all im afraid

Thanks Akasha,
Yup ... I do wonder if sometimes my messages on Spirit of Nature are
pitched right ... I'm sometimes not sure if anyone reads 'em at all!
Oooh ... how insecure of me!
Interestingly, the posting which got the most responce has been the
one about witches being misrepresented in the news. This probably means
that like none-Pagans, there's nothing we like more than getting a little
riled up and forming a lynch mob! :)
I went to University over ten years ago now to learn Physics and Astronomy,
whilst trying to maintain my Christian faith. In the first term in Astronomy
they drop a real bomb on you ... they teach you how vast and long the
Universe is, and its enough to drive you mad. My Christian friends (who
were doing Biblical Studies) told me when I was preparing an important
essay on the Big Bang that I should only quote the bible - something
which would cost me dear marks. My Astronomy head of department didnt
help, he hadnt forgiven the Church for excommunicating Galileo for saying
the Earth moved around the Sun.
So scientific method and religious faith were at each others throats
inside me ... science won. But its not a happy life ... as an Astonomer
you know how long the Earth, the Sun and the Universe has existed for,
and how long is left. A human life can seem insignificant next to that.
Fact is I need a faith to keep me sane ... Wicca was what I needed,
where the scientific method of looking for things can be harnessed to
witness wonder, without someone calling you a heretic, but allowing
you to feel there is a deeper level to life.
Blessed Be,
