hi everyone
i have only been a member for a few days now so hello everyone, though i have spoken to a few of you already.

i was wanting to see if some of you in the derbyshire area wanted to meet up some time other than just at the big moot when it takes place, and i noticed that quiet a few of you live in the area.
that was until everyone seemed to be moving to wales.

have i missed something?
is it something i said?
do my messages smell?

would someone please enlighten me!

mel :)

Erm, it's Welsh?

I dunno- there does seem to be a huge love thang for Wales on the list, with a few members living or planning on moving to there. However, you have not missed anything, Mel, and in my opinion, Derbyshire is actually the centre of the known universe.

So there ;)

PS I'm listening to sasha and Emerson at the mo, thru my headfones, typing away...COME ON!Big fish little fish cardboard box...ahem, sorry.

..And yes, your messages do smell.....

But only of Roses!

Sorry-I'm being very skittish..I'm sure a meet can be arranged. How many of us are there in Derbyshire guys??

Hiya Mel!

Just wanted to welcome you to the comm....hope you enjoy it here

I'm one of the "I'll be jollying off to Wales" crew!!..
But that's because my blokey lives there....& it's a beautiful place..

...as is Derbyshire... I'll really miss the Derbyshire countryside when I leave here though...
Lee & me were driving around at the weekend...through Holymoorside...to Chatsworth (& some extremely remote places in between!) & it's breathtaking...the sun was shining...it was lovely..

How will I cope without this countryside I wonder?!..
When I come back to visit friends & family, I'll just have to drag them around Derbyshire instead of going to their houses...that's it...that's my plan!!

Oh ey up....got a bit carried away there!..where was I??...
Oh yep..

If you have any problems or questions, or any ideas for the comm....or just fancy a natter....shout out & someone is sure to be there!

Brightest blessings...

Dionne

if it makes you feel better i dont like wales.
it always rains when im there.
there are dead sheep everywhere
its cold
its muddy
(as you may have noticed most of the time i have spent in wales was on outdoor pursuits, namely hiking, sailing and fell running. oh and on a biology field trip one summer, it rained)
on the odd occasions when it is sunny its too windy to take your jumper off.
i danced in a table dancing club in cardiff, and i can officially say that the perverts in cardiff are much less courteous than those in the rest of the country.
shop keepers talk welsh at you even though they speak english to their friends (what is that about)
That said normal people in wales tend to be nice

Of course that is only my meagre experience, but personally i would rather be just over the border (my parents live in shrewsbury, amd the countryside there is lovely, but with nicer weather and less dead sheep)

and before you all have a go this is just my opinion and im obviously just ignorant of the marvelous things that also happen there

lost of love and sheep poo

I'm afraid I'm not a Wales fan either. Having lived in Pembrokeshire for 5 years as an English person, I can say that whilst beautiful, it is as wet as Akasha says and full of welsh people. Of course being an English Rugby fan I am naturally obligated to hate the Welsh. Sorry chaps. Present company excluded of course!

Heya folks

Well i have lived in wales most of my life.....cant say i'm a big fan of SOME welsh people (some are nice some i have found are petty petty people). As for the place, it is lovely in some parts and is ideal for a camp trip *Hint Hint*
